Scholarship Information      

The Lewis & Clark Home Builders Association established an annual scholarship to assist a graduating high school senior with expenses in pursuing a post secondary education in a construction-related field.  This can include, but is not limited to HVAC, Landscaping Design, Building Trades Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting, Construction Engineering Technology, Carpentry or Plumbing.

$500 is awarded to the selected student based on an application that has been submitted and two letters of recommendations from their industrial technology instructor(s), school counselor(s), or other person whom influenced their decision to go into the building trade.

By promoting a scholarship, the Lewis & Clark Home Builders Association hopes to help those with dreams of working in this industry fulfill a satisfying and rewarding future.

Congratulations to Kevin Schurman of Yankton. Kevin is a graduate of Yankton High School and he is the recipient of the 2011 Lewis and Clark Homebuilder’s Association scholarship. Kevin’s construction experience and interest in the Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning field has made his application stand out Kevin is attending Mitchell Technical Institute this year with plans to graduate with a HVAC Degree. Thank you to all the referrals from our membership. It takes your help to get the word out to these kids and let them know the scholarship is available!
